Minister APPLICATIONS
St Paul's Hadley Wood is currently looking for a new Minister.
We are a friendly Anglican evangelical church believing that the Bible, God’s living word, speaks as clearly today as when it was first written. God made all people in His image and sent His son Jesus to save sinners, so we welcome anyone, regardless of background, and with the Holy Spirit’s help, we hope to share our faith and the Gospel.
We have a faithful core membership of 88 adults and we long for a new generation of young people and families. Are you able, with God's help, to...
Our commitment to our new Minister: We shall love, support, nurture and encourage you and help you to fulfil your calling at St Paul’s. We hold a complementarian viewpoint and abide by the biblical view that men and women are created equal and different. The leader of our church should be a man, modelling the marriage of Christ and the church and so the PCC has passed the following resolution: "This PCC requests, on grounds of theological conviction, that arrangements be made for it in accordance with the House of Bishops’ Declaration on the Ministry of Bishops and Priests.” |

Encouragement from Rod Thomas, Bishop of Maidstone
‘I am delighted to be involved with St Paul’s and to seek to support their distinctive – and much needed – evangelical ministry. Within the Diocese of London I am able to exercise episcopal ministry as a result of the ‘London Plan’ which gives practical reality to mutual flourishing. As a result I have good relationships with all the London bishops – and Edmonton is no exception. St Paul’s is able to look to the future with confidence, principally because of the recognition that the Lord Jesus is the head of his church. St Paul’s has demonstrated its desire to foster faithful discipleship to Him, by its open statement of conviction that the Bible is God’s authoritative Word, by its commitment to the gospel, and by the way it seeks to demonstrate the love of Christ in Hadley Wood. I very much look forward to continuing to support its ministry.’
